The Aluminess bike rack system mounts to our rear bumper passenger side swing arm. It allows you to open the swing arm without unloading your bikes.
The Bike Rack Adaptor works with a Tule Hitching Post Pro bike rack. (purchased separately)
Note:
The swing arm is rated to work with up to 160lbs of load when secured evenly in the utility boxes. Loading bikes on the swing arm adds significant leverage so you must reduce the load amount. Our recommendation is for two 25 lb mountain bikes properly secured for best performance. The swing arm/bike rack should be closed and latched when ever possible. If you are camping and want to leave the swing arms open, we recommend unloading the bikes to avoid damage to the swing arms.
