Explorer Roof Rack – Sprinter – 2007-26 Sprinter

At Aluminess, we’re all about creating unforgettable adventures – and our Explorer Roof Rack is no exception. Designed with the adventurous explorer in mind, this rack is built to take you off the beaten path and into the unknown.

DETAILS

  • Arced front design to enhance van aesthetics and accommodate curved lightbar installation.
  • Underneath mounted front lights with continuous perforated flooring to optimize roof rack space.
  • Two forward facing light options: Baja Designs OnX6 50″ curved light bar or Baja Designs Linkable lights (lights sold separately).
  • Custom-built vent specifications with standard vent cut-outs included. Non-standard and off center-line vent cut-outs available upon inquiry.
  • Option for integrated load-lights below the rack for maximum protection, featuring Baja Designs S2 lights (lights sold separately). Available on passenger, rear, and/or driver side.
  • Passenger side load-lights remain functional with an expanded awning as they sit below it.
  • Integrated wire chasing eliminates the need for zip ties, with wires running within the rack and exiting above the B-pillar.
  • Upper rungs are slightly recessed for a streamlined design following Sprinter body lines.
  • Optional awning mounting brackets for Fiamma F45 or similar wall-mounted awnings.

Recon Side Steps – 2007-26 Sprinter

Introducing our newly designed and reengineered Recon Side Steps for your SPRINTER – the enhanced replacement for our famous nerf bars.

Designed to improve comfort, ease, and safety to get into your lifted 4×4 van, these side steps offer a smoother entry and exit. Say goodbye to ankle mishaps, dogs getting stuck, or children trapped between the bars and the van body.

Our updated design seamlessly integrates with our Recon Front Bumper for a cohesive look. Crafted from lightweight and rust-free aluminum, they feature a stylish tread pattern with our Aluminess logo.

Regardless of wheelbase, these side steps provide an optimal entrance by focusing on covering just the door area, reducing overall vehicle weight while maintaining functionality. That’s where the Aluminess Rear Door Ladder comes in. Made from lightweight, all-aluminum construction, it bolts directly into factory mounting points—no drilling needed! For added grip and safety, the top of the ladder is shaped to lock in your foot for more confident climbing.

It’s compatible with both 180° and 270° hinges, so there’s no need to swap out or repaint anything just to install it.

Want even more function? Go for the combo kit. It includes a mount for a box or spare tire and a set of sleek, offset steps that let you climb easily around your mounted gear.

Curved ladder tops are dangerous and don’t provide the support necessary when both climbing and securing cargo at the same time. Our ladder allows you to lock your foot up against the side of the ladder for leverage and confidence.
  • The ladder sits an average of 4.5” off the van giving ample room for your foot to comfortable step on each rung without adding too much length to the van.

A: No, when purchased as a combo with the spare tire/box mount, all necessary hardware for mounting either option will be included with your purchase.

A: Yes, it is compatible with both. We will include a limiting strap to prevent your doors from opening fully, so there’s no need to change your hinges.

Q: Is it compatible with backup sensors?

A: Yes, the product is compatible with backup sensors.

Q: How difficult is the installation process?

A: For most, it’s a straight forward DIY installation that takes 2-3 hours. Skill levels vary and unknown factors such as existing exterior mounts, accessories or other aftermarket parts can effect the install time and difficulty. Storage is at a premium on van builds. Aluminess solves this problem with our all-aluminum Surf and Paddle Board Carrier. Mount your paddle or surf board using one of our Surf Poles, driver-side ladder and a pair of surf hooks.

Nerf Bars – 2007-26 Sprinter

Expedition vehicles can be tricky to get in and out of, especially if they are 4×4 and lifted. Our aluminum Nerf Bars for the Mercedes Sprinter van make it easy to get in and out of your van. They are designed to retain ground clearance, but also provide an easy place to help enter and exit your van. They are also a great way to protect your Sprinter from those pesky shopping carts. Now compatible with the factory A/C and auxiliary heater.

Nerf bars include both driver and passenger side.

The purpose of this product is to provide easy access to the inside and outside of your van without weighing down your suspension. Our nerf bars/side steps are not rock sliders.
