The Aluminess PowerLift Bike Rack is designed to be used exclusively with the Aluminess Base Unit. To ensure proper fitment, please review the following details:
- Base Unit Compatibility: The PowerLift is compatible with both the current (Gen 2) Aluminess Base unit as well as the previous Gen 1 model. If you do not have an Aluminess BackPAC Base Unit, we offer a package that includes this.
- Hinge Requirements: This rack is not compatible with 270-degree door hinges and requires 180-degree hinges for proper use. If your vehicle has 270-degree hinges, we offer a 180-degree hinge kit for easy conversion.
- Comprehensive Kits Available: Whether you need a base unit, a hinge conversion, or both, Aluminess offers kits to ensure seamless installation.
This 180-degree door hinge kit is designed specifically for the top and bottom positions of your rear van doors, ensuring smooth operation and long-lasting performance. Engineered to meet OEM specifications for 2019-UP Mercedes Sprinter vans (VS30), these hinges allow the rear doors to open a full 180 degrees, providing easy access for loading and unloading.
These hinges are a critical component for the Aluminess PowerLift Bike Rack, which requires 180-degree hinges for proper function. If your vehicle currently has 270-degree hinges, the PowerLift is not compatible.
