Weekender Roof Rack – Express 2003+

Most people purchase vans so they can take lots of people and lots of gear without towing a U-haul trailer or bringing along a second car. What happens when you have too many friends? Where are you going to put all that gear? An Aluminess roof rack, of course! Whether you have the factory Chevy Express van or a Sportsmobile penthouse top (pop top), we have a rack that works for you. Our aluminum roof rack is perfect for carrying cargo boxes, surf boards, or just lounging around and watching the world go by. Our gutter mount Weekender Roof Rack is available with two flooring options: perforated which is perfect for lawn chairs and walking around and slats which are great for tying down precious cargo. The standard length on the roof rack is from the rear of the van up to the back of the front doors. This gives ample storage space while keeping cargo behind your head and reducing noise.

Double Loop/Slats – Double Loop, Low Profile basket with slat flooring; walkable and easy to tie down cargo

Double Loop/Perforated – Double Loop, Low Profile basket with perforated flooring; great platform for lawn chairs, tripods, or a sleeping platform

PLEASE NOTE: Roof racks and roof rack accessories may interfere with factory roof mounted satellite antennas. Antenna relocation may be required for full satellite radio functionality.

Tire Rack – Express 2003+

An Aluminess Rear Door Tire Rack is essential to anyone converting their Express to four wheel drive. When upgrading to larger tires, your spare will likely no longer fit under your vehicle. Instead of leaving your spare at home(bad idea), you can equip your van with our tire rack. This rack mounts securely behind your door and is located on the driver side for easy access to the back of your van. Maximum tire size of 35″.

Surf Pole – Express 2003+

Storage is at a premium on van builds. Aluminess solves this problem with our all-aluminum surf and paddle board carrier. Mount your paddle or surf board using one of our Surf Poles, driver-side ladder and a pair of surf hooks.

Ladder and Surf Hooks sold separately

Side Ladder – Express 2003+

Whether you have an Aluminess roof rack, or just a plastic storage box, the van roofs are a great place to store bulky things. The problem is how you get up there to strap everything down. Aluminess solves this problem with their all-aluminum Side Ladder. These mount to the side of the vehicle solving the problem of drilling through your rear van door. Passenger side ladders are recommended to avoid traffic unless you have an awning that gets in the way.

Nerf Bars – Express 2003+

Four Wheel Drive conversions often lift the van higher off the ground. This means that an already tall vehicle becomes more difficult to get into. The Aluminess Nerf Bars make it easy to get in and out of your van again. With 20″ long tread plate steps at each door, there is ample room to step into the van with ease. The all Aluminum construction is great for keeping the weight down and the powder coated finish is durable enough to handle the toughest elements.

Nerf bars include both driver and passenger side

PLEASE NOTE: The Chevy Nerf Bars do NOT fit models that have sliding or barn doors on both sides.

Rear Bumper – Express 2003+

Storage is a premium when converting a van into your home away from home. If your van is a 4×4, then you also have to compete with a tire that no longer fits underneath your van. We kept this in mind when designing the Rear Bumper and the accessories that compliment it. With 2 swing arms to hold your spare tire and a storage box, you will now have more room for the essentials to put inside your van. In most cases, any of the Aluminess boxes will work on the swing arm! Whether it’s extra fuel, a generator, or recovery gear that you need, your Aluminess rear bumper is there to help out.

150 Pound Weight Limit On Swing Arm

33 in. Maximum Tire Size

Sensor holes can be drilled upon request

PLEASE NOTE: Rear Bumper is not compatible with the blind spot assist. On rear bumpers with swing arms the sensors read the box and tire, then will continually beep.

Front Bumper – Express 2003+

Built for the Last True American Workhorse

The Chevy Express is one of the last V8 vans standing—a no-nonsense, hard-working rig that’s proudly American-made and built to last. After more than two decades on the road with the same time-tested design, it deserves gear that’s just as tough, just as dependable, and just as iconic.

Enter the Aluminess Front Bumper.

Crafted from military-grade aluminum and weighing only 85 pounds, this bumper delivers serious front-end protection without overloading your suspension, steering, or tires. It won’t rust, even in the harshest climates, and its powder-coated black finish is made to take a beating—just like your van.

Winch-ready for units up to 16,000 lbs, it’s built for real recovery situations. Not running a winch? No problem—the bumper includes a lockable storage compartment for stashing recovery gear, tire chains, or anything else you don’t want rolling around inside. Integrated shackle mounts accept a 7/8″ pin, giving you rock-solid recovery points right when you need them.

For the van that refuses to quit, this is the bumper that answers the call. Built in America. Built to last. Built for the trail

Standard bumper configuration is square lights and 1.5” (1.9” OD) Brush Guard

Products shown with available options – Lights, shackles, receivers, and brush guard crossbars not included in standard bumper price

PLEASE NOTE: Winch manufacturers are continually changing winch sizes and designs. Solenoid relocation will likely be required with this bumper.
